Work experience as a dressage trainer
Together with my younger sister we runned our own dressage stables and we bought, trained and sold a lot of horses to many countries. Our trainer was [and still is] Jo Willems, the former trainer of double Olympic Champion Anky van Grunsven. I started teaching in 1990. In 1996 Christian Plage [Germany] invited me to stay at his stables and we worked together for 2 months. I also trained with Johann Hinnemann and Jurgen koschel [both German].

In 2002  I was selected to join the Dutch trainer Platform, together with 14 other selected dressage trainers. A selection was made out of 400 dressage trainers. We are responsible for scouting and training Hollands best young talented riders. At least 4 times per year we get education and the best professionals from all over the world are invited to teach us. We have to improve as trainers, and if not we will be sent away.
